Developmental & Reproductive Physiology

Honey bees undergo remarkable changes as they grow from eggs into adults. Their development is shaped by biological processes and interactions with other bees in the colony.

In our lab, we study how honey bees grow, develop, and reproduce, with a particular interest in larval physiology and the relationship between developing bees and the nurse bees that care for them. Our goal is to uncover the biological mechanisms that support healthy development, reproduction, and colony function.
